Complete in three volumes. Parchment and marble paper half-binding, with orange title labels on spines, numerous black and white illustration. Ex-library. Vol 1 has a pink stain on front board near top, and light water damage at upper edge of text throughout. Vol 3 has a darkish stain at right middle of spine. All three labels beginning to peel at sides, and Vol 2's label is missing part of its right side though title is unaffected. Text is lightly foxed. Famous early study of Polynesia, Micronesia, and Melanesia by French geographer Gregoire Louis Domeny de Rienzi (1789-1843), translated into Italian by Francesco Falconetti.
