Part II is a generalization on symbolism in architecture and the iconography of urban sprawl from our findings in Part I. Part III describes the work of Venturi and Rauch from 1965 to mid 1971, reflecting the theories of Part II. The end result of a graduate student research project at Yale University. The Studio was entitled " Learning from Las Vegas, or Form Analysis at Design Research." By the end of the semester the students had changed the second name t "The Great Proletarian Cultural Locomotive." which is what the title page states.
