The inscription is to Jackson Mathews, a translator still well-known for The Flowers of Evil by Baudelaire, and was soon to start his 15 volume translation of The Complete Works of Paul Valery. Pages a little brown from age. Some foxing on wraps. Spine worn at bottom.
